Export Certificate

According to the Diario de Yucatán, in June 2013, “the president of the business Cab Balam, SPR, profesor Abelardo Balam Chi, of the Mérida commisary of Xcucul, was presented by Cristina Acevedo Hernández, Coordinator of Food Safety of the Fundación México-Estados Unidos para la Ciencia, a certificate for export issued by the Servicio Nacional para la Sanidad, Inocuidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (Senasica). According to Balam Chi, Cab Balam is the first Yucatecan beekeeping enterprise to obtain this certification.”
